1. Purpose
The Know-Your-Customer (KYC) policy ensures we verify the true identity of every client, assess their risk profile, and comply with global anti-money-laundering regulations.
2. Documents Required
Tier 1 — Identity: passport, national ID card, or driver's license (valid, unexpired, photo visible). Tier 2 — Address: utility bill, bank statement, council tax bill, or government correspondence dated within 90 days.
3. Verification Process
Documents are processed by our automated KYC partner using OCR, biometric face-match, and database screening. 92% of submissions are verified within 5 minutes. Manual review may be required for edge cases.
4. Enhanced Due Diligence
EDD is triggered for: politically exposed persons (PEPs), residents of high-risk jurisdictions, deposits over $50,000, or unusual trading patterns. Additional documentation including source-of-funds and source-of-wealth may be requested.
5. Ongoing Review
KYC documents are re-verified every 24 months, or whenever client circumstances change materially (address, name, residency, etc.).
6. Refusal & Account Closure
Xylo Markets reserves the absolute right to refuse account opening or close existing accounts where KYC requirements cannot be satisfactorily met.
7. Data Protection
All KYC documents are stored with AES-256 encryption, access-controlled, and never shared outside authorized regulatory and compliance personnel.
8. Submitting Documents
KYC documents can be uploaded securely via your Xylo Markets account dashboard. Email submissions are not accepted for security reasons.
